How are you doing this fine day? I'm not doing too great. Seems this winter I am getting sick every week and I am not pleased in the slightest about it. Apart from that, I am just wonderful. Let's cut to the chase though, I have some good news and bad news. Which do you want first?
The bad news? Okay then. I stopped played Dishonored. I know what you're saying, "How could you!? What is wrong with you!? Are you dumb or something because this game is great! EAT SHIT AND DIE!!!"
...Maybe not the last one, but let me explain why I stopped before things get really out of hand. As I have said before, it is a very interesting game with a cool concept and setting with great challenges. However, once I realized I was not quite sure why I was supposed to be doing the things I do, things just went down hill. I lost all motivation to play it, and the fact that I was so lost frustrated me to the point where I was yelling obscenities at Corvo like someone else I used to know...(cough, CONNOR, cough.)
I am not saying I will never go back to Dishonored, but for now I just need to step away and find the motivation again before I jump through the screen and punt Corvo using a leg made out of the hoards of man eating rats.
Now the good news, I put down Dishonored and picked up Skyrim again. I guess that does not exactly mean anything for you guys, but it's good for me! So you take that news and run for the hills in joy and happiness!! I like that I can always rely on Skyrim for a random as all hell quest; and even better than that, I can demolish all falmers with a flick of my wrist now, which if you read one of my last Skyrim posts, drove me nuts. That, my friends, is better than a lifetime supply creme brulee, and that dessert is the epitome of heaven...
Debates on whether or not I will get the DLC for it though, and I know about the Skyrim online beta thats happening. We will see how it all goes, for now I will continue to be the Dragonborn High elf hot tamale that shoots fire and ice out of her hands. That being said, I am off to take some more cough drops and blow my nose.
HAPPY GAMING!

Oh shame man *passes tissue*
ReplyDeleteSKYRIM is that good old friend you can always rely on though isn't it!
The formula is simple and familiar yet never boring - the perfect comfort game when ur feeling sicky =(
(I'm sure that the attraction has nothing to do with a latent urge to kill and pillage ;) )
All you need is some Hot Toddy on tap, a Snuggy (with super hero print - this IS very important detail), cake (sometimes they misspell cake so that it looks like 'Chicken soup' - but they really mean CAKE) and Skyrim.
Get better soon!
